Ash celebrates the game every Hollow Knight fan needs to play. After years of waiting for Silksong she’s had her Metroidvania itch scratched by a biblical adventure packed with grim bosses, punchy combat, snappy puzzle platforming and pixel art horrors. In today’s feature we’re looking at the mighty Blasphemous 2 from The Game Kitchen and Team17. Why do we think Blasphemous 2 is GOTY quality? Released on PS4 and PS5 on 24 August this stunning gothic adventure challenges you to bring down an unholy assortment of divine bodyguards, sniffing out secrets in hidden areas and unlocking the map with new abilities as you go - y’know all that juicy Metroidvania stuff you know and love. But blasphemous 2 also borrows some specific tricks from the mighty Hollow Knight: the melancholy gloom, the hints of dark lore bubbling beneath and combat builds that let you shape its hero to your liking.
